Coworker challenge

Today was our first weigh in since starting our competition last week. The group consists of myself and two coworkers who are anxiously trying to lose weight and get in shape; the incentive to win is cash and also my cruise in September to celebrate my 5 year wedding anniversary. We have agreed to weigh in on Mondays, and the winner will be the one who loses the most percentage of her body weight at the end of 8 weeks. Already frustrating, today's weigh in was +1 lb. Since starting, I've really increased my walking- about 5 miles 3 days a week, and a little weight training. Also attempting to eat better; have already improved on the dessert front but portions and carbs get me every time. We had company over the weekend, so I didn't do so well. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but it doesn't help that one of the girls lost 5 lbs already. So hopefully I'll do a bit better this week.

co-worker challenge

hang in there. remember your really only competing against yourself as are the others. Things will change for each of you weekly. Drink plenty of water for a while Though I don't really buy into drinking a gallon a day especially fo someone who is sedentary, I do know the more you drink the less you hold!
